LinkedIn Is Full of Jobs. So Why Can't Anyone Get Hired?
If you're looking for a job, LinkedIn is probably one of the first places you check. There are thousands of postings, recruiters share opportunities constantly, and most professionals already have a profile there. But are all those listings actually helping people get hired?
LinkedIn's own research suggests something isn't working: nearly 40% of job seekers say they're applying to more jobs than ever but hearing back less, and half say finding a job has become harder.

A recent online discussion asked exactly that, and the comments showed how frustrated job seekers are — people applying to dozens or hundreds of jobs without a response, watching the same listings get reposted for months, and running into ghost jobs that lead nowhere.
That frustration isn't just anecdotal. 67% of job seekers say they've suspected a job posting was fake or misleading more than once.
One person said LinkedIn feels more like a collection of job ads than actual openings. Another had applied to more than 1,000 jobs in a year and interviewed for only a small percentage of them.
Some people are still getting hired through LinkedIn — but many mentioned the same pattern: a recruiter reached out directly, they applied within hours of a post going up, they knew someone at the company, or they went straight to the company's career page.
You don't need more job postings. You need real opportunities.
The problem isn't just the number of jobs — it's how many people are competing for each one, as application volumes climb across the board. Scrolling through hundreds of listings for hours isn't the same as making progress. What you need are opportunities relevant to your experience, actually open, and connected to companies genuinely hiring.
That's why we built LatoJobs — a platform connecting professionals in Latin America with legitimate opportunities, with a strong focus on remote work. Instead of trying to be another massive job board, we're building a community around professionals who want to work remotely from LATAM and companies looking for talent in the region. And applying should be free: we don't charge candidates, because if you're looking for a job, you need an opportunity, not another platform asking you to pay before you even get one.

Stop applying into the void. Apply where it counts.
Every application you send should have a real chance behind it — a real role, a real company, a real person reviewing it. That's what LatoJobs is built for: legitimate, actually-open opportunities for professionals across Latin America, free to apply, with no ghost jobs and no noise to scroll through.
You don't need another platform to collect applications. You need one built to get you hired.
Apply now at LatoJobs.
