Laterite is a data, research, and analytics firm founded in Rwanda in 2010. The company specializes in high-quality research services aimed at social impact, particularly in addressing complex development challenges in Africa and beyond. Laterite provides comprehensive support for research projects, including design, data collection, analysis, and strategic advisory services on development interventions and socio-economic policies. The firm employs a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods, advanced econometrics, and AI tools to deliver context-relevant evidence. With a focus on local presence, Laterite has over 40 full-time staff and a network of more than 500 enumerators across East and West Africa, as well as in Peru, India, and the Netherlands.
