Core Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Deal Structuring Lead acquisition financing transactions from initial client onboarding through successful closing. Conduct preliminary deal evaluations to assess financing viability before committing significant resources. Oversee client diligence intake and ensure completeness of materials for lender packaging Build and maintain financial models, lender presentations, and related materials. Structure acquisition financing solutions using a variety of debt and capital sources. Lender & Client Relationships Develop and maintain strong relationships with lenders, independent sponsors, and financing partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the execution process while maintaining a consultative, high-trust relationship. Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless transition from signed client to transaction execution. Transaction Execution & Closing Manage the financing process through lender outreach, term sheet negotiations, and closing. Coordinate all stakeholders to ensure efficient transaction execution from diligence through funding. Growth & Leadership Contribute to the long-term growth of the Lower Middle Market Lending vertical. Mentor junior team members as the business scales.

Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. 5–6+ years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Acquisition Finance, Commercial Lending, or a related finance role. Demonstrated experience owning transactions from initial evaluation through successful closing. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis skills. Experience structuring acquisition financing transactions. Experience working directly with lenders, investors, sponsors, or financing partners. Excellent English communication skills with strong executive presence and high emotional intelligence. Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills. Experience using AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) or a willingness to learn quickly. Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career within financial services. Nice-to-Haves: MBA preferred but not required. CFA designation or progress toward the CFA program. Experience working in an entrepreneurial or high-growth financial services environment.
