What You'll Do

Location: Fully Remote Must be in Latam Salary Range: 2500 - 3500 USD/month Work Schedule: Must provide coverage through 6:00 PM EST NOTE: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION Company Overview: Sagan is an exclusive membership community for top executives, founders, and CEOs seeking to hire and maximize the impact of international talent. We bridge the gap between global talent and U.S.-based businesses, connecting candidates from regions like Latin America, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Africa with leading American companies. Sagan provides a high-performance remote work environment, ensuring access to world-class opportunities for top-tier professionals. About the Company: Sagan represents an independent arm of a prestigious Family Office, operating as a permanent capital investment firm with a broad mandate. Operating similarly to a venture capital or private equity fund, their primary thesis focuses heavily on entrepreneurship through acquisition via the search fund model, backing highly capable entrepreneurs seeking to acquire and scale small businesses. They are a lean, fast-paced team navigating a high volume of deal flow in an unstructured, highly entrepreneurial environment. Culturally, they value true partnership and place a significant premium on longevity; they deeply respect candidates who demonstrate a stable, long-term commitment to their previous employers, as it aligns perfectly with their ethos of long-term investment and mutual success. Independent Contractor Structure Working as an independent contractor means you will partner with the firm as an independent business entity. You will be fully responsible for managing your own local taxes, healthcare, and personal benefits. Candidates are expected to provide their own reliable equipment, including a personal computer and a high-speed internet connection. Payment for your services will be processed seamlessly upon the submission of monthly invoices. Position Overview: As the firm navigates high deal volume, the Founder and Managing Partner currently handles his own complex scheduling, email triaging, and global event logistics (such as organizing cocktail hours for 30-40 clients in the UK). This role exists to bring on a strategic partner who can take full ownership of these functions, empowering leadership to focus entirely on investment execution. The core pillars of this role encompass strategic diary management, high-level workflow prioritization, and orchestrating client and investor engagements. Critical Requirement: The single most critical, non-negotiable requirement for this role is unmatched business intuition and critical thinking. We are not looking for someone to simply execute repetitive or automated tasks. You must be able to "read between the lines," proactively categorize priorities (e.g., deferring low-priority follow-ups while the Managing Partner is traveling), and make confident, context-driven decisions independently. Key Responsibilities: Executive & Strategic Support: Take complete ownership of complex, multi-stakeholder scheduling and diary management across global time zones. Triage and manage executive email, acting as a strategic gatekeeper to separate high-priority action items from lower-priority tasks based on business context. Anticipate leadership needs and dynamically adjust workflows, particularly during periods of heavy executive travel. Event & Logistics Management: Lead the end-to-end coordination of international corporate events, client engagements, and investor gatherings. Manage seamless international travel logistics, expenses, and operational workflows. Deal Execution & Client Operations: Drive the adoption of CRM systems, tracking client lists and ensuring meticulous data entry for smooth client onboarding processes. Support the investment team's deal execution by formatting and preparing high-quality pitch documents and presentations. (Note: Because this environment is highly entrepreneurial, there is no rigid rulebook on day one. You will encounter new scenarios daily, and leadership is fully prepared to provide the context you need to learn and adapt to their specific operational style—provided you bring the required intuition to the table). Requirements (Must-Haves): Industry & Functional Experience (Strict Mandate): You MUST have a minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of direct, recent experience performing a true Executive Assistant function within Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), or Investment Banking (IB). (Please note: General executive support experience in corporate sectors, FMCG, Legal, Medical/Healthcare, or ESG fields is insufficient, and non-EA roles like Investment Analyst or Operations will be immediately disqualified). Longevity: A clear, proven track record of multi-year tenures with previous employers is strictly required. Frequent job-hopping (multiple roles in a short time span) is a major red flag and grounds for immediate disqualification. Availability: While there is flexibility in your specific working hours, you must remain consistently reachable and responsive through the end of the New York business day (6:00 PM EST), regardless of your local time zone. Language: Exceptional, strong English fluency is required to communicate seamlessly and professionally with foreign investors and international clients. While a specific accent is not an issue, high proficiency and clear communication are non-negotiable. Culture Fit: You are a proactive decision-maker who thrives in an unstructured environment. You rely on deep business intuition to solve problems rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions. Nice-to-Haves (Strong Preferences): General finance or corporate banking experience, serving as a bonus on top of the strict PE/VC/IB requirements. Geography: While geography is fundamentally not a deciding factor, candidates based in South Africa or Latin America are highly encouraged to apply, as the firm has historically found strong alignment with the intuitive skills required from these regions. The Hiring Process We values your time and has structured an efficient process capped at a maximum of three interview rounds: Application: Submit your resume. A video introduction is highly encouraged to evaluate communication skills; however, this requirement may be waived for candidates with exceptionally strong resumes to prevent delays in the hiring process. Initial Screening Call: A conversation with the hiring team to discuss your background, verify salary expectations to ensure long-term alignment and prevent underselling, and assess core competencies. Reference Check: Thorough reference checks with your previous employers to verify your history of longevity and performance. Assessment: A brief Predictive Index (PI) cognitive and behavioral assessment (approximately 15 minutes). Final Interview: A concluding conversation directly with the Founder and Managing Partner.
