Key Responsibilities: Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate books. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows. Process invoicing, expense tracking, and receipt management. Support payroll processing and coordination when needed. Prepare month-end close entries and basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow). Maintain organized records in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar). Assist with tax preparation documentation and audit support.
Requirements
Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role. Proficient with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop). Xero experience is also accepted. Solid understanding of reconciliations, AP/AR, and basic accounting principles. Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills. Accurate, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple clients or accounts. Strong written and verbal English. Reliable internet and a quiet home office setup. Able to work US business hours. Nice-to-Haves: Full-charge bookkeeping experience (handling the complete bookkeeping cycle independently). Background in finance/accounting firms, home services, real estate, property management, or construction. Experience with job costing or project-based accounting. Familiarity with Bill.com, Gusto, ADP, or similar payroll/payment tools. Multi-client or multi-entity bookkeeping experience. Knowledge of US GAAP basics. Bilingual English/Spanish.
