Key Responsibilities: Support the production and development of residential architectural plan sets using Autodesk Revit. Draft basic construction details for residential wood framing and structural connections. Generate precise material takeoff lists directly from project models to support estimation and field teams. Input redline markups, engineering updates, and project revisions cleanly and quickly. Organize digital drawing sheets and maintain clear version control. Help with secondary legacy drafting tasks in AutoCAD when necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications: Solid technical proficiency in Autodesk Revit (building clean models and documentation) and basic AutoCAD. Strong foundational knowledge of residential light-frame construction, wood framing logic, and how components fit together in the field. Highly agentic with a strong bias to action; an independent worker who actively flags blockers and solves problems rather than waiting for instruction. Eager to use AI tools and digital systems to maximize daily drafting output. Exceptional responsiveness and direct, clear communication during working hours. Nice-to-Haves: Experience using Lumion for architectural rendering and client presentations. Prior experience generating material takeoffs or estimation data from BIM models. Familiarity with California building department or International Residential Code (IRC) standards.
