Core Expertise Required: Architectural & Interior Design Narrative * Background: You must hold a degree in Architecture or Interior Design, or have extensive experience (10+ years) writing for top-tier architectural publications. >> The Voice: You must be able to write with "White Glove" sophistication. You aren't just "writing about buildings"; you are translating architectural intent, materiality, and spatial experience into evocative prose. Strategic Copywriting & PR Outreach * Act as our lead journalist-in-residence, crafting high-impact project descriptions and PR pitches. >> Secure features in elite publications (e.g., Architectural Digest, Dezeen, ArchDaily) by leveraging your industry knowledge to find the "hook" in every project. Technical SEO & Digital Growth * Execute a comprehensive SEO strategy: handle all keyword research, metadata, and backlinking without hand-holding. >> Produce high-quality, SEO-optimized content that maintains a luxury brand feel—avoiding "robotic" or generic output. >> Manage and update the studio’s digital presence (Squarespace) with a focus on both aesthetic beauty and search performance.
Requirements
Key Qualifications: Seniority: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or editorial within the design industry. Industry Fluency: A deep understanding of the US architectural market and high-end design standards. Linguistic Precision: Native or C2-level English. Your writing must be flawless, persuasive, and culturally nuanced for a New York audience. Technical Stack: Proficiency in Slack, Monday.com, and Squarespace. AI Integration: Expert at utilizing AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to streamline production and polish copy, while maintaining a high-brow, human-centric final product. Selection Criteria: Candidates will be evaluated primarily on their ability to prove "Industry IQ" through past PR pitches and SEO-focused architectural writing. We value candidates who are ready to hit the ground running as an independent extension of our design team.
