Key Responsibilities: Perform accurate roofing and sheet metal takeoffs from construction drawings and project plans. Quantify edge metal, coping, flashing, trim, accessories, and related roofing scope items. Review architectural and roofing drawings to identify project requirements and potential scope gaps. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and product information. Compile complete estimating packages for internal review and client-facing bid submissions. Maintain organized takeoff documentation and pricing records. Serve as the primary estimating contact for assigned roofing contractor partners. Respond to contractor inquiries regarding quantities, pricing, and bid support. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate proposal delivery.
Requirements
Qualifications: 2–5+ years of experience in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, or related preconstruction functions. Proven ability to independently read and interpret architectural, roofing, and construction drawings. Experience with commercial roofing estimating and takeoff processes. Strong understanding of roofing systems, flashing, coping, edge metal, and related sheet metal components. Familiarity with estimating and takeoff software platforms. Direct experience with sheet metal estimating strong plus . Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with building envelope systems and exterior construction scopes. Experience working with roofing contractors, subcontractors, or exterior envelope suppliers. Experience supporting commercial bid preparation and proposal submissions.
