About the Company: Sagan represents a US-based company specializing in project-driven professional services with a strong focus on financial accuracy, operational excellence, and client partnerships. Position Overview: The Revenue Accountant will own the end-to-end revenue accounting cycle, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, work-in-progress reporting, project billing, collections, and financial reporting. This position works closely with internal teams and clients to support accurate month-end close activities and maintain healthy cash flow. Key Responsibilities: Review sales orders, contracts, and purchase orders for billing accuracy. Perform revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Manage work-in-progress (WIP) reporting and percentage-of-completion accounting. Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on collections. Communicate with clients regarding billing questions and payment status. Support month-end close and revenue reconciliations. Collaborate with project managers and internal stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy. Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data, prepare reconciliations, and support reporting. Identify opportunities to improve revenue accounting and billing processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in revenue accounting within a project-based business environment. Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, work-in-progress accounting, project billing, accounts receivable, and collections. Experience managing the full revenue accounting cycle, including order-to-cash processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to work during EST business hours. Nice-to-Haves: Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other project-based industries. Experience with Zoho Books. Experience with NetSuite or other comparable ERP platforms. Experience working with US-based companies or clients. Experience improving billing processes or reducing DSO.
