
Email Marketing Specialist (Klaviyo/SMS)

Key Responsibilities: Own the strategic direction and performance of client email and SMS marketing programs. Analyze campaign and flow performance to identify growth opportunities and revenue drivers. Conduct monthly reporting and performance reviews, comparing new initiatives against historical performance. Lead monthly campaign planning and optimization initiatives. Develop quarterly strategic roadmaps aligned with client business goals and growth targets. Present strategic recommendations, testing ideas, and optimization opportunities to clients. Guide segmentation, automation, and retention strategies based on performance data. Collaborate with copywriters, designers, project managers, and implementation specialists to execute campaigns effectively. Lead strategic discussions around A/B testing, flow optimization, and lifecycle marketing improvements. Maintain organized communication and documentation within project management systems. Adapt quickly to changing priorities, client feedback, and evolving business needs.
Requirements
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in email and SMS marketing, preferably within e-commerce or DTC brands. Strong hands-on experience with Klaviyo. Experience with at least one SMS platform such as Attentive, Postscript, or similar. Proven ability to drive revenue growth through retention marketing strategies. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. Highly proactive with strong ownership mentality and strategic thinking abilities. Experience managing multiple brands or client accounts simultaneously. Comfortable in fast-paced, reactive agency or startup environments. AI-native mindset with the ability to leverage modern tools and workflows to improve efficiency and output. Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and Codex to support automation, scripting, or workflow optimization. Nice-to-Haves: Experience working within marketing agencies. Familiarity with Shopify. Experience with Basecamp, Google Workspace, and project management tools. Understanding of lifecycle marketing and customer journey optimization. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative and implementation teams. Strong understanding of brand positioning and creative strategy. Familiarity with advanced AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) for enhanced productivity and technical problem‑solving.
