Core Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Process payroll for 30–40 client accounts across multiple payroll cycles. Ensure accurate payroll data entry, validation, and timely payroll execution. Support payroll tax compliance processes, working with ADP and payroll providers responsible for filings. Monitor multi-state payroll compliance requirements and flag potential issues. Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve client payroll issues efficiently. Coordinate with internal teams, client accountants, controllers, and external payroll platforms. Respond to payroll, benefits, and paystub inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to payroll deadlines.

Requirements

Qualifications: 2–4 years of payroll experience (US payroll required). Strong experience with ADP (required). Familiarity with Gusto or similar payroll systems is a plus. Solid understanding of multi-state payroll compliance and state tax regulations. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal). Proven ability to manage multiple client payrolls simultaneously. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Experience in payroll service providers or multi-client environments preferred. Nice-to-Haves: Experience in payroll processing for a high-volume client portfolio. Exposure to accounting or finance operations beyond payroll. Familiarity with payroll troubleshooting across multiple platforms. Experience working in remote, distributed teams.
